CADDi,
opened up.

A live pitch for CADDi, the AI data platform for manufacturing. One procedural CNC hydraulic valve and flange assembly carries the whole story: from a 2D drawing, through geometry similarity and the semantic data map, to workflow ROI.

FOUR LAYERS, ONE PART

From drawing
to decision.

Each stage holds on a key frame for the presenter.
Jumping between them scrubs the timeline in either direction.

01 / DATA LAYER

OCR & ingest.

Six parts rise out of their own outlines on the blueprint as raw wireframe and point clouds. A cyan scan plane resolves them into CAD and reads Ra 1.6, 4x M6x1.0 and SUS304 off the geometry. Then the assembly explodes into its bill of materials.

02 / EXPLORER

Shape similarity.

The flange housing splits down its axis: the new REV.D drawing in clay and BREP lines, the matched historical part under a cost and manufacturability heatmap. GD&T dimensions and the match badge count up to 98.4% and a 34% saving.

micrometer ticks · Cmaj9 chime
03 / SEMANTIC MAP

Context, connected.

Red threads run from a tapped M6 hole, the chamfered flange, the central bore and a deep pocket to Quote, Process Review, Design Review and Composer records, with data packets streaming along them.

sonar pings · stereo delay
04 / WORKFLOWS

QCD & ROI.

The heatmap spreads over the whole assembly while the Composer card runs Quality 99.4%, Cost −30% and a 10× faster cycle, and the title block counts to 100,000 hours saved. Then everything folds back into the drawing.

BUILT FOR A LIVE ROOM

Present it.
Don't narrate it.

Sound cues fire only during real playback, so a stage jump is silent apart from a click. With reduced motion on, the deck starts on hold and jumps are instant.

GEOMETRY

Real CAD, in code.

ExtrudeGeometry with absarc bolt patterns and radial slots, crease-preserving lathe solids for the housing, a 6206 bearing and threaded M6 bolts, sharp EdgesGeometry outlines. One feature table drives both the heatmap and hover inspection.

SHADERS

Drafted, not rendered.

A patched MeshStandardMaterial adds the scan reveal, cost heatmap, clay preview and screen-space cross-hatching in shadow. Cast shadows print as hatching on the sheet, and the blueprint itself is a canvas drawing.

SOUND

Synthesised live.

A Web Audio engine builds every sound from oscillators and noise: a detuned 60/120 Hz drone, a band-passed FM scan sweep, snaps, 5 ms micrometer clicks, FM bells and pings through a ping-pong delay, plus a spectrum in the presenter bar.

Supplier names, costs, lot and part numbers are illustrative demo data. The platform figures (98.4%, −34%, 100,000 hours, 30%) come from the pitch brief.
